Be Buddies, Not Bullies with MGP

October was #AntiBullyingAwarenessMonth and Madd Gear took a pledge to be buddies, not bullies at the skatepark with a global Anti-Bullying Campaign.

While bullying has become normalized in areas of action sports, it doesn't mean it needs to be accepted. Bullying takes a serious toll on the mental health and well-being of children and youth. Research shows that children who are bullied are more likely to experience depression, anxiety, and low self-esteem.

Madd Gear athletes took action on the weekend of October 22-24, at their local skateparks. The goal was to befriend new 'buddies' to help make the skatepark a safe and accepting environment for youth and teens alike.

The Be Buddies, Not Bullies Campaign was a huge success! We made new buddies all over the globe. We want to send a special thank you to all the Madd Gear Athletes who participated in the campaign and Made A Damn Difference!
