What it is

A real scooter, minus the wheels

That is the whole idea. A trampoline scooter has a padded foam deck and no wheels, so it cannot tear a trampoline mat or run away down the drive. Everything else is a scooter: the bar, the headtube, the way it spins.

So the tricks transfer. A bar spin learned on the tramp is the same bar spin at the skatepark, just learned somewhere that does not hurt when it goes wrong.

  • No wheels, so nothing to damage the mat
  • Soft foam deck, so a missed landing is a bounce rather than a graze
  • A real stunt bar and headtube, so it feels like the scooter they already ride
  • Tramp, carpet or grass. The tramp is a great way to learn to get height, and grass works well too

Same set-up as a scooter. Because it is built like a real scooter, a rider can even fit the bar off their own scooter, so it feels exactly right when they take the trick to the park for real.

The bar comes to the waist

Measure from the floor to their waist and match it to the bar. Too low and they stoop over it and cannot spin it. Too high and they cannot turn it.

The Bounce bar is 648mm, fixed: a full-size stunt bar from day one. As a quick guide it suits riders 107cm and up, ages 6+.

Bounce

Full-size stunt bars on a foam deck. Unlike a toy version, the Bounce has a real Madd Gear headtube, IHC compression and a sealed headset, the same parts that make a proper scooter spin smoothly. It feels like the real thing because most of it is the real thing.

The things people ask before they buy

How do I know it fits?

The bar should come to their waist. Measure floor to waist and compare it to the 648mm bar. As a quick guide, the Bounce suits riders 107cm and up, ages 6+. It comes in one size: all three colours are the same.

Will it damage the trampoline?

No. There are no wheels and the deck is foam, which is the whole point of the design.

Can they only ride it on a trampoline?

No. It works on carpet and on grass too. The trampoline is a great way to learn to get height, but grass is still great for practising.

Does the bar adjust?

No, and that is deliberate. It is a full-size 648mm stunt bar from day one, so what they learn transfers straight to a proper scooter.

It is the same set-up as a scooter, so some riders fit the bar off their own scooter instead. Then it feels exactly the same when they take the trick to the park.

Does it arrive built?

Almost. Attach the headtube plate to the deck and clamp the bar on, and it is ready to ride. If you would rather watch than read, here is the build video.

Is there a warranty?

Two years, and you deal with us here in Auckland rather than an offshore call centre.

What do they move on to?

A proper stunt scooter for the skate park. Our pro scooters are sized the same way, bar to the waist.
